Westgate Farmer’s Market // Toledo OH

FILED IN: Coffee, Photography

When we moved back to Toledo, people would always ask us why we would want to live here?? Why in the world would we move from Utah to Ohio? Toledo has many beautiful things that I thing people that are from here take for granted. There are lush trees, which brings life and clean air; even if the water is not clean (#emptyglasscity) When Loren and I first started dating, he would whisk me away from Lincoln Park, a Detroit suburb where I was living at the time and bring me to Toledo for the weekend. During these trips, we would see all of the things that Loren loved about Toledo: Inky’s Pizza, J&G’s Pizza, (he really likes pizza;) downtown Toledo and the Art Museum. There are really great features to this city that maybe lots of natives don’t fully appreciate. We recently discovered the Farmer’s Market! Never shopped at a Farmer’s Market before and I am aware they are not exclusive to Toledo. First I went with my twin sis Angela and was inspired by all of the colors that were represented by the lush fruits & veggies, I must bring my camera next time! So that is just what I did! Here is what I saw and purchased that day: Westgate Farmer's Market // Toledo OH // Green Beans & Blueberries Westgate Farmer's Market 4 Westgate Farmer's Market 2 I met a girl who sells the cutest jewelry! Her name is Chloe and she and her mother own Baubles by Bev! Here is their Facebook Page: Baubles by Bev Westgate Farmer's Market 3 Here is my loot: Westgate Farmer's Market 5   I have to say here that Loren and I picked up a bag of Glass City Roasters coffee and unfortunately we were not very impressed with it:( I also bought raspberries and went to have some the next morning and they were already moldy! The farm owner did say that he would refund me or allow me to pick out another pack. All in all, we were happy with what we got from there, it was reasonably priced and I felt like I was eating healthier. I would recommend that you only buy what you need for the next few days, the veggies & fruit seemed to not last as long as the grocery store (probably because it doesn’t have all sorts of chemicals to keep it good for 14 years). And the next morning I enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee with my local honey & toast! The honey was soooo delish! AWP18711
