Ben and Allie’s wedding was especially close to our heart as they are family. Ben is Mary Beth’s step brother and this being the first family member that we’ve had the privilege of documenting their day, it was definitely special to us. We began their wedding weekend at the stylish Dapper House in Royal Oak Michigan where Ben received a fresh haircut and straight razor shave the day before the wedding.
The morning of was cold and brisk as the sun began to come up as we made the drive up to Cornman Farms. When we arrived, the farm was quiet, but when we stepped into the house, we saw things were just the opposite. Golden oldies filled the air and everyone in the kitchen was hard at work preparing all of the incredible foods for the day ahead. Fresh crumpets sizzled in the pans and the smoked salmon was being carefully sliced. The smell was to die for!
Allie arrived with a huge smile on her face and began to get ready for the day. The farm had come to life with people rushing about making sure everything was perfect. As Allie was getting dressed, a surprise from Ben arrived, it was merely a Louis Vuitton bag… no big deal 😉 Before we knew it, it was time to tie the knot! The ceremony was short and sweet yet filled with laughter and joy. It was an honor being able to not only be there as photographers, but as friends and family as well.
Since this was a Brunch wedding and the night was still young, the party continued at the bowling alley down the road in Ann Arbor. Everyone was invited and it was so much fun! Allie shocked everyone with her skills and put a beating to her new husband getting two strikes in a row!
Thanks to these incredible vendors for making this day happen!
